Coach Holmes teaches US History and coaches football and baseball. He has been here at MacArthur for 18 years. He previously taught at Eisenhower High School for 8 years. Coach Holmes has a Bachelors in physical education and a minor in sociology and driver's education from Cameron University. He got his Masters in Education from SWOSU. Coach Holmes has taught all of the subjects in the social studies department along with PE and driver's education. Coach Holmes has been named Regional Baseball Coach of the Year. He became interested in teaching because he wanted to go into coaching. Coach Holmes keeps his students motivated by trying to make history something that today's students can relate to and understand as being important for them to be able to fulfill their future roles as voters and citizens of the United States.
