Tanice Easton

Mrs. Easton teaches Algebra I and Algebra ll at MacArthur High School. This is her second year at Mac. She taught 28 years at MacArthur Middle School before moving up to the High School. Mrs. Easton has a Bachelor's degree in Math Education from Southwestern and an Associates Degree from Cameron University in Computer Science. Mrs. Easton has experience in NCTM conventions, has written Benchmark tests for LPS, and has also written Curriculum guides in Math for LPS. Mrs. Easton has received awards for Coaching Academic Teams and MathCounts Teams. She and her teams have received first place finishes at the State Level. Mrs. Easton's father got her into teaching. He was a teacher, coach, principal, and supt.  Her college professor also encouraged her to be a teacher. Mrs. Easton keeps her students motivated by giving extra points on tests if all homework is complete and She shows her love of Algebra to keep the class excited about it. In her words, "It is quite contagious".
