Mr. Moore teaches Algebra 2. This is his 31st year here at MacArthur. Before he taught here he taught at Temple High School. He taught there from 1974 to 1976. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1970 where he played football and baseball. He was an all-state catcher in 1970. He received his Bachelor's degree from Cameron in 1974. He then went on to receive his Master's degree in secondary administration from Southwestern. Mr. Moore has had the honor of being awarded teacher of the month several times. He has been the head baseball coach at Mac for 15 years. He has been an assistant football coach for 31 years here at Mac. He has been the athletic coordinator for 14 years since 1993. He served on Ok. Coaches Association Board of Control(2004-2005; 2005-2006). The main thing that got Mr. Moore interested in teaching was coaching. The second thing was that he enjoyed the challenge presented by math and he wanted to help kids overcome that challenge. Mr. Moore is one who believes a student should be self-motivated. They need to be motivated to achieve an education which will allow them to be successful in whatever career they choose.
