I absolutely LOVE being a high school counselor and a Highlander! My family is full of MacArthur graduates. My brother, sister and I all graduated here…. Along with 13 other members of the Jackson family!

I am starting my 17 th year with Lawton Public Schools after six years in the classroom teaching science. I have coached softball, basketball, cheer, and golf during that time. I spent seven years at MacArthur Middle School as the 8th grade counselor before moving up to MacArthur High School as a counselor. I graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from East Central University with a Master of Education degree.

I have been married to my husband Shawn, a Lawton Fireman, for 12 years and we have two amazing children-- Lexy is 6 and Jax is 4. I love spending time with my family and friends and watching sporting events. I love attending  OU football games… Boomer!  Email

The counseling profession has been a passion of mine since I was in high school. I love being a counselor and would not change a thing! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Phillips University and a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University. I began my counseling career as a licensed therapist and decided that I wanted a career change. I found my self in the education field as a school counselor and I think I have found my special place. I have been here at MAC for 4 years. I am originally from Fort Worth Texas but now call Oklahoma home. I have been married for 17 years to Captain William Pitre and we have five beautiful children: Nikalaus, Elyse, Carrington, Detrice and William. I love spending time with my family, cooking and doing anything arts and crafts with my children. I love MAC and have been adopted by a great school and staff!
