Another shout-out and celebration for our #LawtonPS student-athletes! Our MHS swim team accomplished a first for Lawton at the OSSAA 5A State Swim Championship finals in Jenks on February 16. Both the Girl's and Boy's teams had top 3 individual finishes with National Age Group AA and A times. OSSAA STATE Individual Medalists: Addison Luper: Silver, 2nd in 100 Butterfly, 1:02.13 (A), Bronze, 3rd in 200 IM 2:23.82 Rohan Mariano: Bronze, 3rd in 500 Freestyle, 4:57.65 (AA), 4th in 200 Freestyle, 1:48.38 (AA) The MAC relays made the State finals: 200 Medley MAC Girls Relay: 2:21.49 (10th) (Lili Boothe, Addison Luper, Emily Morales, Maddy Strickland) 200 Freestyle MAC Girls Relay: 2:07.23 (12th) (Lili Boothe, Addison Luper, Emily Morales, Maddy Strickland) 200 Medley MAC Boys Relay: 2:10.93 (11th) (Rohan Mariano, Joe Martinez, Travis Murphy, Evan Raynor) EHS 6A Prelims: Brayden Ratliff: 21st in 100 Backstroke 1:02.32 The races were closely contested and our LPS swimmers gave it their all!
